He then gets trapped with treasure hunters and then has to decided between getting money or being happy with leaving it there. He then decides that all he wants to do is sail. This teaches the students that hard work pays off.

Sarah loves being able to go to this school and works very hard to do good. She even learns how to write everyone's name for them. At the end of the story her grandmother dies, but only after Sarah shows her how to write her name for the first time. This book would show the students how lucky they are to have such simple things such as schooling.

Piggy then realizes that she should not have to hurt people to be cool. This will teach the students to do what they know they should do, rather than listening to someone else.
